Frequently Asked Questions


A 50% deposit is required on all rentals to secure your event date! Deposits are non-refundable. All final payment are due week of delivery/events. We accept cash, certified checks, and payment through our reps.


What size tent do I need to fit ( x ) amount of people and ( x ) amount of tables & chairs?
Please refer to our Prices and Packages page for a general idea or contact us during business hours or via e-mail. If you need additional assistance please contact us during business hours. Our friendly representatives will be more than happy to assist you!


How can I make sure my event date is reserved?

Please contact us during business hours to secure your event date or fill out an order form which we will recieve via email. Your event is not booked until A Family Affair has received a 50% deposit to reserve your date.


What if I need to cancel my event?

A Family Affair understands that under certain circumstances you might have to cancel an order. All deposits are non-refundable. We recommend you purchase Rain Date/Event Canellation Insurance, for an additional cost of $75, which is non-refundable. Rescheduling will be based on equipment availability.


When will you deliver my order?

A Family Affair can not guarentee a specific delivery date or time. However, we will contact you a few days prior to your event to inform you of a window in which you can expect delivery. Day before delivery is a courtesy not mandatory.  


How do I prepare equipment for pick up?

Tables and chairs must be folded, clean and stacked appropriately at its pick up point. 

Linens must not be left out on tables, please of them folded and in a bag. 

Chafering warmers must be thoroughly cleaned and removed of all food! 


What about broken, damaged or missing items?
Customer is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery and is liable for any lost, stolen and damaged items.


Can I pick up my rental items?
Definitely! Pick up can be scheduled by appointments only.


What if it rains?

We understand that the weather can put a damper on your event! If you want to be prepared for a rainy day we recommend considering renting sides as an option. Sides are additional pieces that can be added to the tent to assure that everything and everyone on the inside stays dry.


What if there is an Emergency after hours?

We understand that a situation may occur when we are not in the office.

Customer is responsible for all underground utilities. AFA shall not be held liable and shall not be held harmless in any manner for injuries or damages caused by persons or things falling over or coming in contact of ropes, stakes, or other supports.
